Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Mikel has worked as a Senior SRE at Phonovation since 2024. Mikel has a Degree in Electronics Engineering and a Masters in Telecommunications Engineering. Mikel has 10 years of experience working in IT. In order to continue upskilling Mikel has undergone several training courses and has earn many certifications including MCSA and MCSE from Microsoft and CCNA from Cisco. For the last 4 years Mikel has worked in SysOps/DevOps. Mikel has learned and used coding in Python, public clouds AWS/Azure, Containers and CI/CD. Mikel has also earned AWS certifications including Architect Associate, SysOps Administrator and Kubernetes CKA.

Mikel started with support roles and quickly rose through the IT ranks moving into some very interesting positions. Mikels first engineering role was a Network Engineer, he then moved into a Systems Engineering position. During this time, Mikel gained a lot of experience in OS in particular Linux and Windows. Mikel has a positive-attitude and is always looking for opportunities to update his knowledge. Mikel likes to bring new ideas and improvements when possible.
